We will have a code freeze on 12 April, for internal testing and bug-fixing, and we hope to make stable versions of DataStage and DataBank available to the public on 24 April. Watch this space!
You can look forward to:
Choice of installation formats – users can install from a debian package, or drop a pre-configured virtual machine into place.
Improved user interface – features are more visible and intuitive.
WebDAV – hugely improved functionality: use the Web to search, work with your files, add metadata, submit files to repositories.... from anywhere in the world.
Easier configuration – clean samba connections, more administrative functions via the web interface, more flexible setup.
SWORD-2 – DataStage can submit files to any SWORD-compliant repository, and DataBank can accept any SWORD-compliant data package.
Documentation in our online wikis, as well as walkthrough videos showing you how to download, install, configure and use DataStage and DataBank.
